boardinggate.io (“we”, “us”) publishes travel-preparation guides and tools. This policy explains what data we collect when you visit the site and how we use it.

• Newsletter signups — if you join our email list we store the email address you provide, and nothing else.

How we use it

We use this data to run and improve the site, send the newsletter you asked for, and keep the site secure. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers who host the site and deliver email on our behalf.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from any email using the link in its footer. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to hello@boardinggate.io.

Data retention

Server logs are kept for a limited period (typically up to 90 days) for security and debugging purposes, then deleted. Newsletter email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. We do not retain personal data beyond what is necessary for the purpose it was collected.

Tool data

Our interactive tools (Schengen Calculator, Visa Checker, Packing List Generator, EU261 Calculator, and others) process your inputs entirely in your browser. The dates, nationalities, flight details, or other information you enter into these tools is not sent to our servers, not stored in any database, and not accessible to us. When you close or refresh the page, that data is gone.

Children

boardinggate.io is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Advertising

To keep boardinggate.io free to use, we display ads served by third-party advertising companies, including Google. These companies may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
